About University
The present Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) was established in the year 1963 as Malaviya Regional Engineering College. It was established by the joint venture of the Government of Rajasthan and the Government of India. The institute is among one of the India’s top engineering colleges. It is located in one of the colorful city of India – Jaipur which is in the state of Rajasthan.
- It has been recognized as NATIONAL INSTITURE OF TECHNOLOGY (NIT) on 26th June 2002.
- MNIT was proclaimed as Institute of National Importance through Act of Parliament on 15th August 2007.
- The college gets fund from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India
- Over 12,000 students have already been graduated from the college.
- The college is occupying an area of more than 317 acres.
- The 14 departments of college are offering courses for undergraduate and postgraduate level.
- The campus is perfectly laid-out and surrounded by lush green environs making perfect location to pursue excellent education.
- The college campus consists of main institute building which is built with modern architecture, halls of residence, staff colony and play fields.
- MNIT provides all essential requirements for the students and staffs like hospital, post office, bank, staff clubs, guest house, canteen and gymnasium.
- In next ten years, the campus of college will upgrade around 120,000 m2 to increase the strength of students.
- Several new features are in under construction to fulfill the needs of students and staffs.
Festivals :
Every year the college organizes many national level fests. Two most popular annual fests of the college are –
- Neuron is a national level annual technical festival. This is one of the biggest technical fest in the entire India. Large numbers of students from all over the country participate in the events of festival.
- Blitzschlag is the annual cultural fest and celebrates for 3 days with great enthusiasm. It falls in the month of January every year. Lectures, competitions, exhibitions, and quizzes are organized during the fest.
